Leeds Trinity University Writing Festival – All Welcome!

Whatever stage you’re at in your writing career and whatever kind of writer you are, there’s something for every writer at LTU at this all-day-event on Wednesday 14th February.

The event, costing just £10 for the whole day, consists of two writing workshops of your choice (choose from approximately ten) –  one in the morning and one in the afternoon, all led by a team of published writers and teachers.

The full programme has yet to be released but keep an eye on the website of Leeds Trinity University.  I will be leading the following workshop as part of the line up for the day:

Break out of your Writing ‘Pigeon-hole’

Whether you’re a  poet or prose writer, take this opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and experiment a little with other niches of writing.

This workshop will inspire and support you to try your hand at writing in four writing areas: memoir, poetry, prose and non-fiction.  Each area of writing will be discussed prior to you completing an activity which will allow you to try a new way of writing.

You will leave the workshop with four fledging first drafts, as well as some editing and publishing advice so you can choose one or more of your pieces to see through to completion.

Contact Leeds Trinity University directly to reserve a place on this or any of the other workshops – on line booking should be available shortly. Keep checking this link http://www.leedstrinity.ac.uk/events
