I may have agreed to write a book with a complete stranger – in a villa in Spain, in seven days, with television cameras recording the whole thing.
I’ve been asked to join the proposed cast of a new show called The WriteOff: eight bestselling authors, four pairs and four brand-new novellas – with readers deciding the winner.
Whether it gets made depends partly on showing television companies that people would actually watch it.
