Thursday 11 January 7.30 for 8.00 pm Skipton, Bojangles Bar –Headlining at ‘Shaken in Sheeptown, and eclectic open mic event for readers and writers of the spoken word. Read your own stuff or hear me reading from my new collection ‘Poetry for the Newly Single 40 Something.’
Tuesday 30 January 7.00 pm Drystone Radio A radio interview to discuss ‘Poetry for the Newly Single 40 Something’
Saturday 10th January 10.30 am Burley-in-Wharfedale Library ‘Authors Talk. Here I will be reading and discussing my recently published poetry collection as well as discussing my journey as a writer through to publication. For anybody in interested in poetry, writing or breaking free generally.
Saturday 17th March 9.00 – 1.00 pm Huddersfield Literary Festival Literary Caberet I have been asked to join this event as one of ten poets showcasing their work. It’s been organised by Rose Condo who is an amazing performance poet so it will be a really entertaining evening.
Tuesday 20th March 11.00 am – 1:30 pm Headingley Literature Festival (Heart Centre, Bennett Road) I teach creative writing to a group of 20 adults living with disability. Every year we prepare an inspirational show of words for our audience with cake and refreshments at the interval. There will be a another group of writers from Headingley Heart centre performing before us. I, along with two other local poets, will be opening the event with a reading from my recently published book.
